London’s Prettiest Christmas Lights
It’s that time of the year again for our streets to be filled with glowing festive joy. Every year, London continues to dazzle us all with its magnificent and snazzy Christmas light displays and this year is no different – from vibrant installations at Carnaby Street celebrating all things colourful and neon, to the stunning sustainable stars and twinkling angels at Oxford and Regent’s Street, or to Kenwood’s multi-sensory festive laser garden, there’s tons to explore. We’ve made a list of our favourites so head over to one (or all!) of these wonderful displays that will be sure to get you in the festive spirit.
1. Carnaby Street
Carnaby Street always amazes us with its consistently stand-out displays. Often very colourful, bright, and eccentric, they always leave their unique stamp on London’s streets by bringing the wow-factor. This year, to celebrate its 25th anniversary, they’ve gone with a ‘Carnaby Celebrates’ theme, bringing back some of our all-time fave installations from previous years. So, if you find yourself in the area, look up and look out for a party of planets, a huge snowman, glittering palm trees, and even the iconic Rolling Stones tongue.

2. Oxford Street
This one’s a classic – the famous Oxford Street once again brings a dazzling, simplistic, yet stunning taste of winter magic to London. This year, it brings back its much loved ‘Sky Full of Stars’ theme, which consists of around 5,000 dangling stars which float in the air above shoppers below and by dark, make for a stunning night sky effect. Also, with a focus on sustainability, they’ve made sure to reduce the hours the lights are switched on, alongside using LED for a much smaller electricity consumption.

Location: Oxford Street, London, W1D 1BS
3. Regents Street
Much like its neighbour at Oxford Street, this Christmas light display at Regent’s Street also makes a comeback. Another stunning favourite, ‘The Spirits of Christmas’ theme always seems to be a popular photo-favourite. The 45 spirits, also known as the huge twinkling angels that soar through the entirety of Regent’s and St James’ Street, make up this magnificent display, which is the largest of its kind in the country. Covered in thousands of LED lights and only switched on from 2pm to midnight, this display also takes an eco-friendly approach.
