The Best New Year's Eve Parties in London

1. New Year's Eve at Big Penny Social

Where better to celebrate the end of the year than the UK’s biggest beer hall? This year, Big Penny Social are throwing a 1993-themed NYE party to celebrate the 30th anniversary of East 17’s debut album, Walthamstow. The night will feature live performances from the band themselves, 90s costume and glitter stations, a retro gaming zone full of arcade games and Super Nintendo gaming booths, as well as DJs spinning classic 90s tunes until the early hours of 2024 - perfect for a night of nostalgic partying!

2. New Year’s Eve at the Natural History Museum

Earth, Water, Air, and Fire - the four elements make up the theme of the Natural History Museum’s fancy dress New Year’s Eve party this year, and it sounds like a bloomin’ lovely good time. With plenty of cocktails and drinks, live music performances underneath their blue whale, a silent disco in Earth Hall, animal handling sessions, and a chance to wander around the galleries after hours, it’s a fun way to see in the new year, natural history style.  

3. New Year’s Eve at Somerset House

Now’s your chance to squeeze in that final ice skating session before the end of the season! Glide your way around the iconic rink at Somerset House as you enjoy performances from the award-winning cabaret group The Cocoa Butter Club. The event also features live DJ sets all night, as well as an excellent viewpoint of the fireworks at midnight from their River Terrace.  

4. ABBA New Year at Blame Gloria

Honey, Honey, it wouldn’t be a night out in London without an ABBA party somewhere! Dust off your platform boots and get down to Blame Gloria, who are hosting a party into the early hours of 2024 with fabulous West End stars, drag queen performances, and a cheese night sure to leave you with a sore throat the next morning from singing your heart out all night long. 

5. New Year’s Eve at The Candlelight Club

Celebrate 2024 by… stepping back in time to 1924? Filled with 1920s glitz, glamour, cabaret, Charleston dance routines from the Gatsby Girls, and even a fortune teller for good luck, The Candlelight Club is a Prohibition-era speakeasy in a secret location holding not-so-secret fabulous nights out. Put on your fanciest of flapper dresses and head to their totally candlelit venue for a special New Years party that would make even Gatsby proud.

6. JOIA at Battersea Power Station

If you’re feeling fancayy and want to splash the cash to ring in the new year, JOIA is one of the hottest events in the city. With incredible, 14th floor views, a ticket will also get you a delicious dinner menu from Henrique Sá Pessoa, as well as a showstopping performance by Natalie Oliveri just off the back of her USA tour. Once the clock strikes midnight, their rooftop bar is the perfect place to soak in the spectacular fireworks, made even more magnificent against the iconic backdrop of the Battersea Power Station chimneys.
