1. London Month of the Dead
The city’s most morbid yet fascinating festival returns for another month of guided cemetery tours, classical candlelit concerts, an Edgar Allan Poe inspired ball - if a combination of Halloween and cabaret are your thing - and eerie walks along the river Thames. Although it sounds like a haunting hoot, it’s really to inform and entertain people on the subject of death alongside supporting London’s ‘Magnificent Seven’ cemeteries - but hey, who said we can’t enjoy a few cocktails along the way?
Date: 30th September - 1st November in various locations
2. Fawkes Festival
Celebrate Guy Fawkes with a series of spectacular fireworks, dazzling laser-sound extravaganzas, alongside plenty of special effects and flames, making it a night to certainly remember. Held at both Bishops and Ravenscourt Park, each immersive display will last around 15 minutes, ensuring you’ll have plenty of time to tuck into gooey marshmallows and warming cups of hot chocolate after an evening of fun on your favourite fairground rides.
Location: Bishops Park and Ravenscourt Park
3. Bunga Bunga: Dinner, Singing & Karaoke
Sing your heart out to power ballads, pop anthems, or musical favourites at one of Bunga Bunga’s epic karaoke nights on Thursdays. Alongside listening to your friends or workmates croak their way through a song, you can compete for incredible prizes in some of their hilarious games, or indulge in metre-long pizza washed down with Italian-inspired sharer cocktails. It’s sure to be an interactive dining night like no other.
Location: Bunga Bunga Covent Garden, 167 Drury Ln, London WC2B 5PG

4. Oktoberfest Brixton
It wouldn’t be right to mention the best things to do in London without some Bavarian, beer-fuelled fun. Don your Dirndl and Lederhosen to dance (and drink) the night away at Electric Brixton’s first ever Oktoberfest bash, complete with live oompah music, traditional long wooden tables, themed bunting, German bratwursts, and steins of top-notch beers. Make sure to grab a ticket now before they all sell out!
Location: Electric Brixton, Town Hall Parade, Brixton Hill, London SW2 1RJ
5. Singburi
Tantalising Thai dishes? Check. Affordable prices? Check. Bring your own alcohol? Check. Singburi sure does tick all the boxes when it comes to cheap and tasty Thai cuisine. Although a little far out from central London, the family-run restaurant offers non-fussy dining that's worth any amount of travel. Our advice - book a table at least a month in advance and order the Gang Bpa Pla Sai (jungle curry of red mullet and crispy shallots) - you can thank us after.
Location: 593 High Rd Leytonstone, London E11 4PA
