1. The Shard Switch On

‍On Tuesday, the Shard is about to look extra pretty at the annual Christmas switch on. If you drop by the iconic building from 6pm, you'll get to see it all lit up! To accompany this fantastic lights display, you’ll even hear a bespoke audio track featuring wave sounds from the Thames, as well as the sound of St Paul's festive bells jingling all the way.

2. Imperial Lates: Heads Up

‍Next up, we have Imperial College London’s fabulous free event. To mark the 50th anniversary of the last human footsteps on the moon, they’re holding an evening of live demonstrations, talks, and workshops. Once you’ve booked a free spot, drop by to make your own lunar ornaments, take part in a pub-less quiz hosted by University Challenge champs, listen to The Moons Symphony, or play a fairground-style game revolving around comet crashes.‍

3. Hackney Christmas Beer Festival

‍Also this week, the Hackney Christmas Beer Festival is returning to Bohemia Place. Throughout the evening, the venue will be filled with a number of breweries parked underneath the twinkling arches. Of course, tasty food will be everywhere too, be it a vegan 'hogless' roast, Caribbean fusion cooking, or burgers with a pinch of festivity. If that’s something you’re into, you’ll be glad to hear that it’s free entry!

4. So Fetch - 2000s Party Xmas Special

‍We've got a hunch that this Christmas is going to be so fetch - especially when it comes to this 2000s Party at the Bloomsbury Lanes! At the club night, you’ll get to jam to some of the best tracks from the era. Dance away to plenty of Britney, Avril Lavigne, Beyonce, Rihanna, Usher, McFly, and all the other pop greats. Of course, you'll want to look the part, so make sure your Y2K ensembles are on point.

5. L'OR L'Art Du Café

‍Right now, Covent Garden is home to an incredible café for coffee lovers. Named the L’OR L’Art Du Café, this pop-up marks the launch of L'OR's Barista Sublime Coffee Machine where you can rustle up two coffees at once! At the venue, Londoners can enjoy free masterclasses, or head to The Mocktail and Cocktail Bar to order bespoke drinks like their tasty Coffee Sour Tonic. The pop-up is on until December 23rd, so get down there while you can.
