6 Wonderful Outdoor Date Ideas in London

London may not be famed for romance compared to Paris or Venice, but it sure does have a certain charm when it comes to the loved-up 'date-night' - or in this case, outdoor date scene. Whether you're interested in adventurous climbs, breath-taking views, or unique water activities, we’ve played cupid with six destinations for some bonding time with your partner outdoors.

1. Tottenham Hotspur Stadium - The Dare Skywalk

Get ready for thrills and views at The Dare Skywalk. This double header atop Tottenham Hotspur Stadium rivals the O2’s skywalk as a brilliant place to strap in, climb up (100 steps to be precise), and take in some sweet city views 46.8 metres above the infamous pitch. Perfect for couples looking to add a little bit of urban adventure to the equation! Then there’s the added bonus of enjoying a locally-brewed beer, soft drink, or glass of bubbly in the bar afterwards, if you fancy.

Our top tips? Time your visit at sunset for the most magical experience (and the best snapping opportunities), or else keep your eyes peeled for the signature golden cockerel perched atop the stadium, too.

Your partner aside, this Michelin starred restaurant is also a Luca... sorry, looker. Not only does this aesthetic venue offer the most exquisite pasta in London (note, the dedicated pasta-crafting room), it’s home to a cobbled garden courtyard decked out with olive trees and jasmine plants to cosy up in. Oh, and did we mention the open fire to keep you warm in the cooler months? Perfect for a romantic date night, no matter the weather.

4. Serpentine Pedalo

We couldn’t name a more romantic date than drifting down London’s oldest boating lake, iced coffee (or tea) in hand… sound good? Take a trip to Hyde Park’s Serpentine, where you can rent a pedalo for up to an hour, and embark on a soothing trip around the sun-soaked lake. There’s no shortage of wildlife, landmarks, and beautiful greenery to set the scene, too.

FYI: it’s open daily from April to October, and on Wednesday to Sunday from November to March - weather permitting, of course.
