1. Rons Coffee House

The perfect day in Peckham has to start off with coffee, right? Kicking it off on Rye Lane, enter Rons Coffee House, a completely plant-based coffee shop with a focus on local, sustainable, and not to mention, delicious products. Their coffee is arguably one of the best in the area with the beans coming in from Carnival Coffee Roasters and paired with Unordinary Oats house milk available to sip inside or take away with you whilst you venture around. If you’re in the mood for more than just a hot beverage, expect to be tempted by their menu of classic breakfast muffins, croissants, and toasted ciabattas suitable for all plant-based eaters and experimenters.

2. Yogarise Peckham

Whether you’re still feeling a little groggy or are raring to go, a yoga session at Yogarise Peckham will never go amiss. Take a quick peek at their schedule for today and you’ll discover offerings such as Yin-Yang yoga, Dynamic Flow, and Vinyasa Morning Flow for you to take part in depending on your desired style and experience level. You’ll be happy to know that our next stop is the perfect place for some post-yoga brunchin’. Mr Bao is a beloved neighbourhood eatery with an intimate atmosphere and a unique menu. Using ingredients from small suppliers from South East London and all the way from Asia, don’t be surprised when you’re blown away by their range of Taiwanese steamed buns, delicious sharing plates, and their legendary golden kimchi that you’re going to want to order seconds and maybe even thirds of. Plant-based eaters will also feel right at home with options including tofu bao, blueberry miso pancakes, and shiitake rice hotpots.

4. Lamp LDN

Now that you’re well fed, let’s explore some more unique spots that Peckham has to offer. Along Maxted Road, you’ll probably be able to spot a floral peach storefront from a mile away, and if you haven’t already been mysteriously drawn in off of the street, we’re going in. Lamp LDN was created by two women holding decades of creative experience with a collective dream of helping people, such as yourself, make their home the most beautiful, mindful space it can be. Within these walls, you’ll find everything from artsy prints, decorative lamps, and colourful candles to gaze lovingly at and maybe even take home so you too, can create a space that is endlessly pleasing to the eye.

5. BOOKS

Similarly along Maxted Road, this petite, independent store takes care of the Peckham community’s secondhand book needs. Stocking a unique selection of literature, zines, and other bits and bobs with weekly updates, it’s always worth popping in and exploring items that you’re unlikely to find anywhere else in the city. 6. South London Gallery

Of course it wouldn’t be a day out in Peckham without taking in the art scene, our next stop is a must-visit for the modern art lovers. Founded many moons ago in 1891, South London Gallery is a public-funded art space welcoming in the public from Tuesday through to Sunday. Known for their eclectic roster of exhibitions and community events (which are often completely free!), you could get involved in supper clubs, artist talks, and even some pretty wacky workshops. 7. Peckhamplex

Time for some late afternoon entertainment? An absolute staple to the area is Peckhamplex, an independent multi-screen cinema known for its affordable ticket prices no matter the day or the time - £4.99 if you can believe it, and you’d better. Since 1994, Peckham dwellers have been flocking in to see the latest blockbusters, art house, foreign language, and independent movies and for good reason as it has been voted Best Value Cinema by Time Out. This space, a ride or die for the South London movie buffs, also hosts a number of special events including concert films, pre-recorded theatre productions, and one-time-only Q&A sessions with directors and actors. Go on, take a look at what's showing at the moment and spend a couple of hours immersed in film, you know you want to.

8. Jumbi

If dinner, drinks, and live music sounds like the perfect end to a perfect day, head on over to Jumbi. This bar and restaurant emulates the sounds and flavours of the African-Caribbean diaspora with a vibrant menu and a hi-fi music system that is worth the visit alone. Grab a table and get ready to feast on run-dung dumplings, stuffed fish, and loaded rotis whilst you sip on their fruity signature cocktails or all-natural, vegan wines. If you enjoy the vibe at Jumbi, the party doesn’t need to stop at dinner, the venue is open until 12am on weekdays and 2am on Fridays and Saturdays for guests to make the most of the feel-good tunes and weekly events.
